Gallstones are solid formations of bile that can develop in the gallbladder. Bile, produced by the liver and stored in the gallbladder, is a digestive fluid. When you eat, the gallbladder contracts, releasing bile into the small intestine (duodenum).
Gallstones vary in size, ranging from tiny grains of sand to large golf balls. While some individuals may form a single gallstone, others may develop multiple gallstones simultaneously.
The exact reason why gallstones occur is still unclear. Many doctors think that gallstones can be formed when:

General Surgeon Doctor use various tests and procedures to find gallstones and any related problems. These include:
Your doctor may recommend a laparoscopic gallbladder removal, a routine gallbladder stone treatment performed under general anesthesia.
During the procedure, your surgeon will make 3 or 4 small incisions in your abdomen. They will introduce a specialized, illuminated instrument through these openings to visualize the area and delicately extract the gallbladder.
Surgeons then locate the gallbladder and separate and close off the vessels and tubes from it. They then remove the gallbladder and close the incisions.
This type of gallbladder stone surgery typically results in faster recovery and less scarring compared to traditional open surgery.
Most individuals can resume normal activities within a few days to a week after surgery.
